DUAL ENROLLMENT for FALL 2017 Information Session AT St. Johns River State College:

St. Johns River State College announced it will host a Dual Enrollment Information Session on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the St. Augustine Campus in Building S, Room S0105. All students interested in Dual Enrollment for Fall 2017 should attend this information session with parents to learn more. It is not a mandatory meeting. It is an information session designed to answer many common questions.

On November 21st & 22nd, Juniors received a customized Credit Detail sheet during classroom presentations given by school counselors through all American History courses.  School counselors provided a presentation and a timeline of activities junior students need to discuss with their parents. Many juniors still think of themselves as having “just been a sophomore” but it is time to change that thinking to students who are just shy of “becoming seniors!” Beginning the week of January 23rd, the Bartram Trail High School REGISTRATION OFFICE will coordinate our campus-wide process of assisting our RISING SENIORS with course selections for the 2017-18 school year.

So here is the junior timeline:

Current juniors received customized academic records via classroom guidance then went into Thanksgiving Break. See the Junior Presentation and Junior Packet under Resources & Handouts.

Students return to the classroom for two weeks to complete final lessons and projects for semester one, followed by MIDTERMS beginning December 16th.

The semester ends December 21st and is followed by two weeks of winter holiday time.

Students return to the new semester of school on January 5th– and your junior is now a SECOND SEMESTER JUNIOR which has unique responsibilities: ACT/SAT testing, registering for SENIOR courses, completing a strong academic year so colleges can see the final cumulative GPA your junior will be putting on college applications!

The Credit Detail sheet provided your child has customized information about individual credits completed, state testing results from prior school years, and grade point average. During the presentation, every junior was also provided a packet of guiding information to review with parents. The handouts and presentation are posted under the Guidance Resources & Handouts tab here.
