Students have several opportunities to help pay for college expenses!

Federal Student Aid

Federal Student aid is money that students can use to help pay for college.  There are three types of federal aid: grants, work-study and loans.  Everyone should apply for federal aid regardless of income.  Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at

The FAFSA becomes available on October 1st each year.  Students should apply
as soon as possible after October 1st of their senior year. 



State Scholarship and Grant Programs (Bright Futures)
The Office of Student Financial Assistance provides the FFAA (Florida Financial Aid Application) to students seeking state scholarships and grant awards for their post-secondary academic year.
This single application is used to evaluate the student for the programs listed below.
