How Does it Work?

Students must join AP Classroom using the AP Join Codes given to them by their teachers. Once they join the course they are automatically registered for AP exams and an AP exam is ordered for them.  This is a very important step and every student MUST join AP Classroom for EACH AP class they are enrolled in.

Deadline to join AP Classroom to order tests:

BTHS Students: October 31, 2025

Self – Study Students: October 31, 2025

FLVS Students: October 31, 2025

Spring FLVS/SJVS Deadline to join AP Classroom to order AP tests:

February 13, 2026

Is there a Fee?

Every student enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) course will take an AP exam in May.  Students do not pay to take the exam; however, any student who drops 1 or more AP courses after the exam registration deadline will be responsible for a $40 cancellation fee per course dropped.  Students who are absent on test day or need to take advantage of late testing may also be subject to a fee of $40 or more.  College Board determines the penalty fee.

My student has an IEP, 504, ELL Plan. How does he/she get accommodations?

Students who currently have an IEP, ELL or 504 Plan will not automatically receive accommodations for AP Exams. There is an additional separate application process for requesting accommodations. If your student previously received approved accommodations from CollegeBoard (PSAT , SAT, AP) an additional request is not needed. If your student has NOT been previously approved and would like to use his/her accommodations on AP exams, please complete the form below by January 16, 2026, 11:59 p.m.
