Bears Open With Win At Providence<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Bartram Trail Bears beat Providence 7-1 in seven innings on Thursday at Providence after a four-run explosion in the sixth inning.<\/p>\n

The Bears scored in the sixth on an RBI double by Tyler Emmett, an RBI double by Tanner Murphy, and a two-run double by Mike Cassala.<\/p>\n

Emmett helped the Bartram Trail take the lead for good in the sixth inning. Jacob Lovelace was hit by a pitch to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on a single by Joseph Hoelle.<\/p>\n

Emmett had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Bartram was led by a flawless day at the dish by Lovelace, who went 2-2 against Providence’s pitching. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the fourth inning.<\/p>\n

Jarred Davenport got the win for the Bartram Trail Bears Varsity. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered two hits.<\/p>\n

Cain took the loss for Providence. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed one run.<\/p>\n

The Bears added two more runs in the top of the seventh. A hit into a fielder’s choice scored Blake Marabell to get the Bartram Trail Bears Varsity on the board in the inning. That was followed up with a steal of home by Lovelace.<\/p>\n

The Bears will return to action tonight at Home against Bishop Kenny. First pitch is scheduled for 4:45 PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
