March 17, 2012 On Friday The Bears handled Lincoln 14-3 giving us some momentum going to Orlando. After the two and a half hour bus ride to Winter Park The Bears were feeling good and ready to play with the fifth rank team in the state. The whole game both teams battled hard in 90 degrees heat The Bears losing in a the last seconds of the game. The Bears play Madarin on Tuesday which will give us a great opportunity to get back on track and then off the Orlando again next weekend to play Timber Creek and Hagerty back to back.
March 7, 2012 With numerous teammates sick on the team included our starting goalie who didn’t travel the Bears made the two hour trip to the heart of Gator Nation to face Oak Hall High School. The Bears came out to a slow start but quickly woke up and had a dominating second quarter scoring seven goals giving up zero. The second half the Bears controlled the ball and the game and it was a much sweeter bus ride home after a win.

February 24, 2012 Bartram Trail’s second game of the season was a rematch of last year’s district championship against Ponte Vedra. The Bears lost by a score of 13-3. Although it was a 10 goal margin of victory, at half it was 6-3 Ponte Vedra. The next time these two teams could possibly meet would be in the playoffs, a long ways away and enough time for the Bears to make some changes.
February 21, 2012 Bartram Trail had their season opener for both Varsity and JV with both teams coming out with a victory. The JV won 10-6 and Varsity won 10-8. Varsity’s game ball went to goalie Chris Giovaniello who made some very good saves.
